RECREATION AND BEHAVIOR HEALTH CARE PLANNER MONTANA STATE PRISON DEER LODGE, MT MISSION///-/Montana Department of Corrections is creating a safer Montana through Accountability, Rehabilitation and Empowerment. If you want to work making positive changes in the community the Montana Department of Corrections is the place for you! JOB OVERVIEW–This position is assigned to the Clinical Therapist Supervisor under the Mental Health Services Administrator. * Provide activities-related services to inmates on the mental health caseload with the focus of services covering inmates housed on the Mental Health Treatment Unit. * Provide treatment services and recreation activities using a variety of techniques to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well being of clients. * Help reduce symptoms of depression, stress and anxiety, and help clients recover basic motor functions and reasoning abilities. * Help clients build confidence and socialize effectively to enable greater independence and to help reduce the long-term effects of the client’s mental illness. * The hourly rate of this position will increase by $1.50 per hour or 4% whichever is greater starting July 1, 2024, in accordance with HB13. *APPLICATION MATERIALS /Applications missing required documentation may not be considered./ * State of Montana Application * Cover Letter * Resume Background screens which may include criminal records check, child/patient/offender abuse registries, and reference checks will be conducted for this position.
