Riverside Community Care Financial and Budget Analyst II in Dedham, Massachusetts

Riverside Community Care, Inc. seeks Financial and Budget Analyst II for Dedham, MA.

Duties include:

  • Drive annual budget process by analyzing historical trends, updating assumptions, communicating deadlines/deliverables.

  • Own revenue /volume variance analysis and summarize results to support monthly financial review meetings.

  • Drive timely and accurate preparation of all financial reporting on appropriate timelines and communicate to Leadership Team.

  • Prepare month-end and full year Budget/Forecast PowerPoint packages.

    Position requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree/ foreign equiv. in Finance, Accounting/ related field and 2 years of experience conducting financial analytics for behavioral healthcare programs.

    Position also requires 2 years of experience in the following skills (which may be gained concurrently):

  • Conducting financial analytics for behavioral healthcare programs including evaluation of volume of services provided, third-party reimbursement blended rates, and revenue distribution between contract/third party income streams.

  • Developing new and customized reporting requirements and processes for credit card management to enhance departmental efficiency, including establishing effective controls approving credit card purchases, credit card usage and expense reporting usage to effectively manage user behaviors and ensure compliance with company policy and generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Performing monthly and quarterly audits of credit card transactions to verify the proper utilization of corporate credit cards and adherence to the company's purchasing card policy.

  • Evaluating variances to budget/forecast for month end financials and justifying abnormalities to the divisions and Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

  • Assisting senior team members in analyzing and building annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the FP&A team and divisions.

  • Aiding the divisions and system users with budget data input during the budget season and guiding building of expense reports and uploading receipts for credit card holders.

  • Developing financial models and analytics for third party revenue-volume variances, additional payroll funds allocations and other key elements of the financial statements using analytical tools such as Adaptive, Great Plains, THOM Biller, Evolv, Office Connect and Excel and sub-ledgers to mine data and identify and summarize performance results.

  • Designing financial presentations, including divisional and organizational decks for month-end close, budget/forecast templates, and annual board decks, and experience preparing financial reports such as Volume and Productivity analysis for month-end, quarterly incentive calculations for divisions, and ad hoc reports.

  • Developing comprehensive user guidance materials for staff related to budgeting / forecasting input, credit card usage, adaptive reporting, and ad hoc financial modeling including step by-step instructions, standard operating processes, and frequently asked questions (FAQs).

  • Performing regular back-end management of financial systems to ensure smooth integration between Adaptive (enterprise performance management software) and Great Plains (accounting software), add levels/accounts, formulas, and attributes, perform assumptions check on each new RU, upload data manually as required, and create reports such as profit & loss, balance sheet, volume, revenue, expense, variance, and historical trends.

  • Conduct training sessions to equip staff members with skills for daily usage of the Adaptive and TD Bank website.

    Note: Telecommuting permitted 2-3 days per week, must work within commuting distance of office.
