Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced professional who can lead the development of Linux Embedded Platform Software. This involves working with the OS supplier, developing the SW platform architecture, providing requirements, developing device drivers and optimizing low level Linux software.

What you'll do...

  • Lead and develop a scalable architecture for the Software Platform.

  • Develop requirements for the Linux Operating system for suppliers.

  • Develop scalable drivers for communication, sensors, and actuators

  • Develop deployment strategy for platform and applications.

  • Develop unit test plans to perform design validation.

  • Mentoring junior team members.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align on the Platform strategy.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of work experience in Low level Linux (Kernel) development.

  • 5+ years of programming experience with one of C/Python/C++/Java.

  • 3+ years of work experience in embedded software development.

  • 3+ years of experience using software development tools such as GIT and JIRA

Even better, you may have...

  • Masters Degree in in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field

  • 3+ years of work experience with Software Architecture development

  • 3+ years of work experience with Software Containers

  • 3+ years of work experience with remote software deployment

  • 2+ years of work experience with software optimization and performance enhancement

  • 2+ years of work experience with hypervisors and virtual machins

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with multi-functional teams
