TEKsystems Command Center Operator in Dearborn, Michigan

Description:

This person on a day to day basis will be responsible for the command and control center. For an example if someone is using an application and there is a consistent issue (that is not help desk related) someone would connect with the Command Center. The Command Center would then open up an advisory and connect with the business centers regarding the issue and then contact the right teams to alleviate the issue. They are not technical in fixing the issue but connecting the dots to get the right resources involved. There is an aspect where they have to have technical understanding so they need to have come from a technical background. They will need to be able to articulate business impact so good written and oral communication is very important. They will also need a good sense of urgency and the ability to work well with others.

They will be on a call every 7-8 weeks over a weekend till 9:30am (when the India office will take over.) They will be able to remote into the system and on average they only get contacted once.

Skills:

Excel, MS Office, SharePoint

Top Skills Details:

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical job

o Help Desk, Incident Management, Application Support

  • 3+ years of experience with MS Office specifically Excel (taking data from multiple sources, vlook ups, formatting, graphs)

  • 1+ year of experience with SharePoint and InfoPath (development)

Nice to have: Incident Management experience or ITIL / ITSM

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

They will need to be able to articulate business impact so good written and oral communication is very important. They will also need a good sense of urgency and the ability to work well with others.
