Hollywood Golf Club Line Cook in Deal, New Jersey

Line Cook at Hollywood Golf Club Start Date: April 15, 2024 End Date: November 15, 2024

Hollywood Golf Club, located in Deal, New Jersey, seeks two (2) full-time, temporary Line Cooks who will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items in a restaurant.

Will report directly to Executive Chef at Hollywood Golf Club.

Six (6) months of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required.

Travel is not required.

Daily transportation to and from worksite is not provided.

On-the-job training is provided.

Wage: $19.55 - $21.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Overtime is available at $29.33 - $31.50 per hour. Employee may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of a discretionary season-end bonus.

Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 9:00am to 5:00pm or 11:00am to 7:00pm. Shift hours may vary.

A single workweek will be used to compute wages due.

Optional housing is offered on a first come, first serve basis. Cost of housing, if accepted, is $100.00 bi-weekly. If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck. A $150.00 security deposit is required, to be deducted from first paycheck. Deposit will be returned to the employee based on the condition of the housing, at the employers sole discretion, at the end of the employment period. Additional, optional benefits may be offered to worker, for workers sole benefit, including but not limited to accidental and cancer insurance. If voluntarily elected by worker, employee costs/contributions for benefits will be deducted from paycheck.

All deductions from paycheck required by law will be made.

Reasonable transport and subsistence costs to place of employment provided if worker completes half of employment period. Reasonable return transport and subsistence costs provided if worker completes employment period or dismissed early. Amount of reimbursement equal to most economical common carrier. Daily subsistence provided at $15.46/day to a max of $59/day.

The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.

The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees).
