CITY OF DE PERE Summer Lifeguard/Swim Instructor in DE PERE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of De Pere is seeking Summer Lifeguard/Swim Instructors. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe aquatic environment for the patrons at the facility. Safety, responsibility, and prevention of accidents is the number one responsibility of the lifeguards. Staff also instruct swim lessons and water fitness classes as assigned throughout the summer. Lifeguard Certification Course: The City of De Pere will be offering Lifeguard Certification classes for Summer Lifeguard/Swim Instructors at NO COST. If you\'re unable to attend the City of De Pere certification class, upon successful hire, the City of De Pere will reimburse employees the cost of certification or recertification up to the average cost of certification or recertification for the area. Work Schedule: Typical schedule varies. Pools open the 2nd Saturday in June and close the 2nd to last Sunday in August. Additional hours will be scheduled for pre-season training and pool set up. Substitute positions should be available to work 10-15 hours per week. Schedule includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work Location: Legion Pool or VFW Aquatic Facility, De Pere WI Wage: \$16.00/hour (\$17.00/hour for returning employees) Qualifications: At least 15 years of age.
