VELOCITY MACHINE INC 2nd Shift Saw Operator in DE PERE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary: Perform saw operations cutting raw metal stock to appropriate dimensions as indicated on the blueprint. Will assist in other areas of plant where needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include the following: Duties may be modified or additional duties assigned. Utilize time management and prioritization skills to ensure raw material stock is cut to proper dimensions prior to job coming onto the shop floor. Observe saw/machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of products to standards. Stop or reset saw/machines when malfunctions occur and report issues to supervisor. Reads and interprets drawings and shop orders to meet part specifications. Measures dimensions of finished work piece to ensure conformance to specifications. Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and understanding of safe saw/machine operations. Removes burrs, sharp edges and clean parts. Stamps identifying numbers on parts as instructed. Package finished goods, transport job to other work stations and maintain a clean work area. Maintain all scrap metal hoppers by making sure they are emptied, as needed. Use Floor Scrubber for cleaning facility. Assist Shipping and Receiving. Follow Company rules and safety policies. Bring forth process improvements to enhance Lean Processes. All other duties as assigned. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications: Mechanical aptitude and experience operating a saw and/or other machine operation experience Must possess blueprint reading skills and understand both metric and English measurements Willing to work overtime as needed.
