Job Description

Composite Advantage designs and manufactures high-performance Fiber Reinforced Polymer composite products. We are a world leading supplier of FRP products for bridges, waterfront infrastructure and rail platforms – based on award winning technology and innovative designs.

We are currently seeking to hire a Welding Technician to work in our Dayton, OH manufacturing facility. This is a direct-hire position and is full-time, 40 hours/week, second shift, Monday - Friday, OT as required.

Responsibilities for the ideal candidate include:

  • Mig and tig welding

  • Cutting of steel using a cut-off saw and bandsaw

  • Read blue prints and complete fabrication

  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment

  • Reliable attendance. Must be at work every day and on time

Qualifications:

  • 1 + years of experience in mig/tig welding.

  • Must be proficient in plasma cutting, band saw, drill preps, and oxy-acetylene

  • Must be able to read a tape measure to the 16th

  • Must be able to pass an onsite weld test

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Work will require standing most of the day

  • Ability to read a tape measure and scale

  • Previous experience working with composites, but not required

  • Must be able to work around fiberglass and fumes from resins and paints (PPE will be provided)

  • Must be able to follow written and verbal manufacturing instructions

  • Must be able to work in a team environment
