Job Title: Warehouse Associate Company: Triad Technologies Location: Vandalia, OH Summary: Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following (other duties may be assigned): Review and prioritize daily shipping orders when received Pull all parts as indicated on the shipping orders, assemble and other components if necessary. If required, call the freight carrier indicated on the shipping order and complete any paperwork that the carrier may require. Load and unload trucks as necessary. Inspect containers and material reporting any damage or missing items noticed. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records. Determines method of shipment. Affixes shipping labels on packed boxes Assembles cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers Inserts items into containers, binds the container with the appropriate tape. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, records damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify any shortages. Routes items to appropriate location. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Operates forklift to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform. Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Language Skills -- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees. Computer Skills -- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Microsoft Office, Outlook and Commerce Center.
