Tissue Receiving Coordinator - 1st Shift 349 S Main St, Dayton, OH 45402, USA Req #376 Thursday, December 21, 2023 Solvita comes from "sol" meaning sun and "vita" meaning life. Because we believe that everyone deserves more time to live life to its fullest. The Receiving Coordinator: Receives donor tissue into Solvita-Dayton. Inspects packaging, labeling, and associated documents for accuracy and donor traceability. Packages and ensures tissue, cultures, and blood are stored properly and within acceptable limits. Identifies, communicates, and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner. Ensures potential special processing donors are identified and go through proper receiving paths. Responsible for temperature monitoring and alarm handling of storage units. Performs pre-processing cultures. Performs discard process accurately and in a timely manner. Prepares tissue for shipment to internal/external facilities for additional testing or processing. Performs other duties as assigned.
