The Gleason Works Technology & Systems Engineer in Dayton, Ohio
Integrate new sensor technologies in to new GMS products as well as in to current products. New sensor technology includes but not limited to laser (non-contact)
Design, prototype, develop and document manufacturing of inspection systems combining mechanical, electrical, electronics and software. The primary focus is on the application software and its interaction with the entire electro-mechanical system including motion control and measurement hardware such as contact and non-contact sensors.
Mathematical modelling of surfaces, point cloud analysis generated by non-contact or contact sensors in the area of metrology.
Implement software solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies including VB.NET or C#, SQL server, XML and non-Microsoft products such as python or MATLAB for mathematical analysis.
Analyze requirements, design, code, test and document software programs to fulfill the objectives of assigned projects using standard methods and procedures .
Provide documentation to ensure accurate technical data for ongoing support of assigned programs and products.
