The Gleason Works Technology & Systems Engineer in Dayton, Ohio

  • Integrate new sensor technologies in to new GMS products as well as in to current products. New sensor technology includes but not limited to laser (non-contact)

  • Design, prototype, develop and document manufacturing of inspection systems combining mechanical, electrical, electronics and software. The primary focus is on the application software and its interaction with the entire electro-mechanical system including motion control and measurement hardware such as contact and non-contact sensors.

  • Mathematical modelling of surfaces, point cloud analysis generated by non-contact or contact sensors in the area of metrology.

  • Implement software solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies including VB.NET or C#, SQL server, XML and non-Microsoft products such as python or MATLAB for mathematical analysis.

  • Analyze requirements, design, code, test and document software programs to fulfill the objectives of assigned projects using standard methods and procedures .

  • Provide documentation to ensure accurate technical data for ongoing support of assigned programs and products.
