Woolpert's Infrastructure Team is looking for Survey Technicians and/or GIS technicians both in the Field and in the Office who want to increase and build on their current skills and knowledge. Responsibilities At Woolpert Survey Technician, Field III are what most of the geospatial industry calls a crew chief. That position is not just responsible for the day-to-day field operation of their survey crew, but their responsibilities also include ensuring their data is of the utmost quality by performing initial processing and analysis. We are looking for individuals that are open to: Assisting managers in developing the most efficient plan of action for data acquisition for field surveys ranging from primary control through as-built surveys. Communicating effectively with all members of their Team in a manner that shows they understand the expectations accepted by them and also are able to convey their expectations to others. Being open minded about applying the tried-and-true survey methodologies to cutting edge technologies as we as an industry usher into a new world of Reality Capture. Growing beyond their current capacity by establishing unique and empowering career goals that push the employee and their peers to grow together. Sure, we are looking for all of the "normal" skills that every other survey company is looking for such as: Record and calculate geospatial data for all types of survey projects including but not limited to: DOT topographic design and Right of Way mapping, Aeronautical Surveys, ALTA's, photo control and Lidar support. Proficiency with the latest Trimble Survey data Collectors, GNSS and Conventional Total Stations. Woolpert focuses on projects that include but are not limited to: Boundary, DOT topographic design and Right of Way mapping, Aeronautical Surveys, ALTA's, Digital leveling, photo control and Lidar support, etc. Some "great if you have it" skills or experience: Static, Mobile or Air-borne LIDAR collection or processing is always a plus. As Reality Capture moves to the UAS platforms, experience in Mission Planning, Execution and/or Processing UAS Data is great, as well. MicroStation and/or Civil 3D CAD skills are always beneficial to helping you grow Qualifications The successful candidate should possess experience in horizontal and vertical survey control networks. Basic experience in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation CAD platforms is a plus. Ability to work regular overtime. Must possess good supervisory skills and be computer literate.
