Duties: Support the development and implementation of real-time state estimation and control system solutions; Support the full lifecycle of the system development, including, but not limited to, position estimation solutions design, as well as feedback controls solution design; Implement control algorithms in scripting languages such as MATLAB and C++ ; Simulation of model based systems using real-time data from the field; Design performance and stability analysis tools and perform controller analysis; Analyze system characteristics and performance data and support machine test activities; Test and review scripting and modeling change; On-machine validation of new algorithmic and logical software-based changes. Position requires domestic travel 10% of the time as needed. Telecommuting available.

 

Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, thesis, or one year of experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and two years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires the following: 1) C++ development; 2) Analytical and problem-solving skills; 3) Simulink control system and model-based development; 4) Experience with Matlab; 5) Experience with Python development; 6) Signal processing techniques, state estimation, and control theory, including, but not limited to, digital filters design, Kalman filters, system identification, or nonlinear control.
