Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Electrical/Control Engineer to join our team in Dayton, OH.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serves as the team lead of the SCADA Integration and Test team providing direction and oversight to junior electrical and field engineers.

  • Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and controls systems based upon documented requirements. Reviews and tests automated control components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.

  • Utilizes development and design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS)/Free and Open-Source (FOSS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in the Electrical/Mechanical engineering field.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline - Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Math, or other related technical curriculum. Additional 6 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree

  • Experience with complex electrical/electronic systems to include System Analysis, Systems. Architecture, Systems/Equipment Support, and Test, Evaluation, and Logistics support.

  • Must be willing to travel on short term assignments on short notice.

  • Must have US passport for OCONUS travel if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Provide engineering and program support on planning, logistics, design, test, evaluation, and systems engineering of research, development, test, and evaluation projects.

  • Perform design analyses and calculations for electrical projects and be responsible for the preparation of final detailed working drawings.

  • Perform review and quality checks on projects prepared by in-house engineers and architects.

  • Conduct various studies, monitors project progress and prepares programmatic reports.

  • Develop working knowledge of all technical requirements of the projects.

  • Communicates with engineering professionals, solution users, and management throughout the solution development cycle.

  • Publishes and presents technical papers and abstracts to participate in internal and external technical program reviews.

  • Training: Technical Training in commercial or government fuel terminal/pipeline operations or projects to include experience with Automated Fuel Systems

  • Technical experience in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) development

Security Clearance Requirements: Active Secret or ability to obtain

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.
