The highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager will lead our aerospace quality assurance team. Responsible for developing and implementing quality management systems, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations. The Quality Manager will oversee quality control processes, manage audits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in product quality and safety. THIS IS A CONTRACT POSTION THAT COULD GO DIRECT. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop, implement, and maintain aerospace-specific quality management systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards such as AS9100. * Ensure compliance with aerospace regulations, customer requirements, and relevant quality standards. * Plan and conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement as well as collaborate with regulatory authorities and customer representatives during audits and inspections. * Oversee and improve quality control processes, including inspection, testing, and documentation, to ensure the production of high-quality aerospace components. * Act as a liaison between the organization and customers on quality-related matters, addressing inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction. * Manage team to uphold certified GE DSQR and Rolls-Royce SABRe 4 DQR on staff or other self-release approvals required by the customer base. * Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain robust quality standards for incoming materials and components. * Lead investigations into quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. * Provide training to employees on quality standards, processes, and industry regulations. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, reports, and records. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor"s degree in Quality Management or related field * Minimum 5 years of work experience in Quality Management within a manufacturing environment. * Experienced with GE DSQR and Rolls-Royce SABRe 4 DQR. * In Depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, AS 9100D and AS13100. * Knowledge in statistical process control concepts such as variation, stability, and process capability. * Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality control process. * Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Minitab, PC-DMIS, MeasurLink, Unipoint Quality modules, Job Boss ERP. * Effective and professional communication skills, both verbal and written. * Detail oriented and ability to multitask. * Time management skills with ability to prioritize and work under strict timelines. * Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. * Researching standards for quality provisions. * PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, Control Plans etc. * Background in defense, aerospace, or automotive industries. * Experience in the metal cutting and fabrication industry preferred. * Six Sigma experience and/or ASQ CQE preferred. * Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or similar certifications are a plus.
