Who We Need The Instructional Designer will develop a series of training materials for a government client. The training materials will include e-learning, classroom and virtual instruction, and quick reference materials. Some training materials will be adapted from existing content, and other components will be created by working with the client's subject matter team. The team of full-time and part-time Instructional Designers will support the development of the materials. What You'll Do Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Analyze audience roles and processes and identify learning objectives using standard needs analysis techniques. Determine appropriate instruction strategies to meet objectives. Assist in the development of Training Program Plans, Course Design Documents, and the Evaluation and Assessment Plans. Design and develop instructional modules that ensure mastery of learning objectives. Take complex program and/or technical information and create training focused on how the information impacts the participant's job. Create and / or revise training products such as instructor manuals, participant manuals and worksheets, e-learning storyboards and modules, instructional activities, practice scenarios, evaluation and assessments, and Quick Reference materials. Develop practice activities and assessments to ensure learning objectives are met. Work effectively with other team functions to ensure alignment of products and projects. Collaborate with other team members and internal partners throughout product development life cycle. Manage and prioritize daily workload to ensure all client deliverables are met on time. Keep up to date on new products and technological changes within the training industry. Must be able to adapt to multiple technological platforms. Your Qualifications Required Bachelor's in Education, Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience with development of training materials to include instructor led programs, synchronous and non-synchronous virtual instruction, eLearning, blended solutions, and assessments. Ability to manage the end-to-end training curriculum. Ability to manage multiple inter-related projects to completion on schedule. Experience with scoping out detailed training requirements. Ability to develop effective training deliverables based on requirements and scenarios provided. Strong written, oral and presentation communications skills with senior management Strong training development background, experience with the ADDIE or SAT methodology and possess an understanding of development cycle, timeframes, and different delivery methods. Excellent customer relationship management skills. Preferred Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, and e-Learning Authoring software.
