The roles and responsibilities for the Main Test Floor Data and Control Engineer includes: assisting Government engineers in the design and operation of control and data systems, create AutoCAD 2D electrical drawings for test designs and plans, participate in project planning, creating and modifying PLC and HMI programs for facility controls, creating or modifying HBM and MOOG  software for data acquisition and post processing needs, execute plans as a test operator, and setting up, installing, and checkout of test article instrumentation. The Main Test Floor Data and Control Engineer is considered to be a junior engineer in all areas of the Main Test Floor Data and Control.

Qualifications, Education Requirements, Preferred Skills, Education, Certifications, Training Requirements

  • Clearance Required: Secret
  • Possess a bachelor's or higher degree in an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program.
  • Have the ability to analyze and resolve problems within assigned area, with guidance from senior personnel.
  • Have the ability to perform within a team environment, coordinate actions and understand other areas sufficiently to make appropriate recommendations.
  • Have written and oral communication skills to provide technical documentation (including schematics) and progress reports.
  • Be responsible for planning, designing, and testing in compliance with local testing policies and the Air Force ground and system safety guidelines and policies.
