Applied Research Solutions DevSecOps Engineer in Dayton, Ohio

Description

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time DevSecOps engineer (DSOE), located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The DSOE’s primary function will be to support the development and operations of the Program Cloud Development Environment. This engineer will focus on the core code pipelines to ensure that the code is continuously built and tested.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist developers in building, scanning and testing C++ source code using a selected set of tools and techniques

  • Design and document best practices for DevSecOps actions

  • Utilize USAF PlatformOne DevSecOps guidelines and tools when applicable

  • Develop DevSecOps tools and techniques as necessary to construct an automated and secure DevSecOps pipeline

  • Ensures cybersecurity functions, performance, and characteristics are incorporated into the weapon system and validated IAW DOD and USAF policy

  • Automate deployment and maintenance of solutions across multiple cloud instances using Terraform or other selected Infrastructure as Code tooling

  • Develop DevSecOps monitoring and reporting capabilities to allow developers, testers and stakeholders to observe the availability and performance of the system

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Technical experience required:

  • Must be a US citizen

  • TS/SCI Clearance

  • 5+ years of experience developing and compiling C++ code on Linux

  • 2+ years of experience with Docker and container-based technologies

  • 2+ years of experience with Cloud technologies

  • Strong foundation in Linux and virtual machines

  • Familiarity with RMF/DIACAP accreditation process

  • Strong foundation in containers, algorithms, and software application design
