LINQUEST CORPORATION Data Science Intern in Dayton, Ohio

Description LinQuest is seeking a Data Science Intern to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance are required. This internship will span 8 -12 weeks during the summer (Flexible start/end dates) with the potential to go part time past this period. This LinQtern will gain experience with Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Engineering in a team setting using python/R/SQL focused languages. This position is strong data and analytics focused, you will gain experience on our team supporting the government and LINC team. Responsibilities: Participate with team using data science and statistical techniques to identify data of interest, extract structured data from unstructured sources, and apply many other data wrangling patterns to make our corpus of data more useful. Apply techniques from natural language processing (NLP) to understand textual data, including named entity recognition, topic modeling, and sentiment analysis. Use neural networks and other machine learning (ML) concepts to find patterns in our data and to predict outcomes using tabular data (that we created via our wrangling). Required Experience and Skills: You must be a college student in good standing, enrolled in a 4 year university in your Junior or Senior year Pursing a Bachelors degree in (Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or equivalent) You must have a minimum college GPA requirement of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
