Who We Need The Courseware Developer will develop a series of training materials for a government client. The training materials will include e-learning, classroom and virtual instruction, and quick reference materials. Some training materials will be adapted from existing content, and other components will be created by working with the client's subject matter team. The team of full-time and part-time Instructional Designers and Courseware Developers will support the development of the materials. What You'll Do Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Author learning content in Adobe Captivate, Animate and/or Articulate Storyline by using course templates and following all development standards for color scheme, graphic design, and functionality. Program learning content using JavaScript, HTML, and other programming languages and incorporating CSS templates to generate highly interactive and engaging online training. Distribute published learning content using various LMS platforms, including but not limited to JKO, ALMS, Blackboard, and Moodle Integrate premium film content into courseware interactions using project standards and based on guidance and direction from experienced developers. Make edits and adjustments to interactive templates based on project standards. Assist other Training and Education team members with conceptual design of new interactions. Develop further understanding of eLearning development principles through collaboration with other experienced developers and programmers. Adhere to accepted Style Guide practices and builds proficiency through mentorship from experienced developers. Build knowledge of eLearning industry and technologies through hands on application Perform other related duties and assignments as assigned by supervisor/manager. Your Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in computer science, Simulation and Game Programming or related field of study 3+ years programming experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C++, MySQL, UnityScript, and game development Knowledge and basic experience with rapid eLearning authoring tools such as: Adobe Captivate, Animate, Articulate Storyline, and/or SCORM compliant authoring tools. Knowledge and experience in implementing and integrating adapter learning techniques into courseware using either code or authoring tools. Exposure to and basic knowledge of Section 508 compliant and SCORM 2004 conformant web-based solutions Understanding of developing interactivities, assets, and lessons Knowledge of Learning Management System workflows Preferred Knowledge and Skills: Master's degree in computer science, Simulation and Game Programming or related field of study 5+ years programming experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C++, MySQL, UnityScript, and game development Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Proficiency with Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, Lectora and other course development software based on the client's needs.
