Montgomery County CMM Programmer/Inspector (OMJ/MC) in Dayton, Ohio

JOB TITLE: CMM Programmer/ Inspector

 

HOURS: 2:30pm to 1:00am Mon. --Thurs.

 

2nd SHIFT PREMIUM: 15%

 

DEPARTMENT: Quality

 

REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Metrology & Quality Inspection

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:

Inspects products manufactured or processed to ensure compliance with contract specifications by performing the following duties.

 

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

· Inspects product to determine compliance with specifications, both dimensional and visual; Libra's quality control system for compliance with requirements for conformity to specified standards.

· Stamps mark of approval or rejection on product and writes report of examination or signs off on product.

· Run, operate and program CMMs.

· Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.

· Assist in the control of nonconforming product.

· Help in continuous improvement activities.

· Follows inspection and control plans to ensure product quality.

· Coordinates data files and quality records in accordance with the Libra's quality control system.

· Prepared backup CMM accessories probes, extensions and all phases of CMM hardware.

 

SKILLS /EXPERIENCE PREFFERED:

· Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or greater.

· Certified Mechanical Inspector status through ASQ.

· Aukom Training.

· ASME GD&T Training.

· Minimum of 3 years Zeiss Calypso experience.

 

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· High school diploma or GED.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· This positon will work in both front and shop environments.

· In the shop, you will be exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, machines, and material handling vehicles. PPE is required in this shop area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to have good hearing and sight.

· You will need to be able to walk the shop floor and be able to lift up to 20 pounds
