The Sterilization & Training Specialist: Assists the Supervisor in the selection, training, orientation, evaluation, and competency of employees. Conducts technical training for new and existing employees. Ensures training, re-training, and competency assessments are performed as required Provides training evaluations to supervisory staff for 30, 60, 90, 180-day reviews. Performs regular Central Supply Technician duties as assigned Ensures that Central Sterile Supply personnel adhere to all safety guidelines, training and policies Updates SOP's for department as needed. Keeps all modules up to date. Ensures all training documents are complete and accurate. Ensures all annual SOP reading, OSHA, BBP completed. Works with Manufacturing E&T to ensure a consistent training message is given. Performs other duties as assigned. Opportunities to join various employee committees Minimum Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent required. Experience in Central Supply operations and sterile supply processing. Minimum of 1 year as a Team Lead or 18 months as Central Supply Technician III. Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required or obtained within one year of position hire date. Maintaining annual CEU's for CRCST certification. Knowledge of Central Sterile Supply department and equipment. Familiar with instrumentation as well as decontamination, QC, wrapping and sterilization of equipment. Understands and has trained others on Central Sterile Supply procedures. Previous experience with surgical equipment and processes. Work Environment and Physical Activities: Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation. Requires heavy lifting, moderate levels of standing and is physically demanding. Some areas of Manufacturing may require the ability to work around high magnetic circuits or magnetic fields.
