Job Summary

The Strategic Account Manager – National Service Providers will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting strategies and tactics to effectively acquire, manage, and profitably grow sales of Trane Supply to national service providers and their subcontractors.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead execution of strategy for parts and supply profitable growth for assigned strategic accounts

  • Collaborate with functional leaders (product management, supply chain, engineering, marketing, and pricing) to develop offerings and solve problems for strategic accounts

  • Work with local General Managers/Sales Leaders/Account Managers to execute market-specific strategies

  • Conduct regular strategic account reviews – internal and external – to update leaders on the progress of performance and key initiatives

  • Create short and long-term sales pipeline to profitable business with strategic accounts

  • Monitor sales trends, forecasts, and performance of assigned strategic accounts

  • Provide marketplace feedback, including competitive information, customer expectations, industry trends, etc

Demonstrated Attributes/Skills:

  • Ability to influence others (internal and external) who are not direct reports to achieve desired outcomes

  • Ability to manage pipeline and time effectively. Know when/where to invest and when to defer

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive program specifics, issues, and goals through external and internal partnerships

  • Experience making presentations and selling to internal and external stakeholders

Education/Experience:

  • Four-year BA/BS degree or equivalent related experience; MBA preferred

  • 7-10 years’ commercial experience required

  • HVAC industry sales, service and/or marketing experience is a plus

  • HVAC experience working for or with large national service provider(s) preferred

  • Experience managing program development and administration

  • Experience in strategic/national account management preferred

  • Excellent presentation skills, both in-person and virtually

  • 25%+ travel

Base Salary: Starts at $120,000 and up based on experience and will include an incentive.
