Salary will be determined based on education and experience. Includes benefits package with $20,000 Life Insurance and Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with applicable co-pays. 195 days per school year (which includes 9 paid holidays) Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)

  • Develop positive & meaningful relationships specifically with the Credit recovery and Edgenuity.

  • Assist students with support with Edgenuity course work.

  • Become familiar with student support systems.

  • Collaborate with school staff to organize and oversee individual student accommodations and programming.

  • Assist with behavioral choices and instilling positive reinforcement with students and help with work completion

  • Assist with the notification of student when a student is at risk of not passing a class; develop plans to support student success.

  • Assist students with developing healthy & effective organizational/study habits to be successful in school & life.

  • Keep accurate, up-to-date records on students participating in mentoring, tutoring, & school & community activities related to their success.

  • Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.

  • Act as mentor to assigned group of students.

  • Excellent attendance is mandatory for this position.

  • Must be willing to support and implement Davenport’s multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.

  • Experience working with at-risk high school youth preferred.

  • BA in related field preferred.

  • Possesses the ability to work effectively in small or larger teams and independently.

  • Exhibit positive interpersonal skills.

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with technology skills necessary to complete job duties including data entry on state website, Outlook and Microsoft Word products.

  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse student population
