Arby's Shift Manager in Davenport, Iowa

A Shift Manager works directly with crewmembers to effectively operate the restaurant during their shift. The Shift Manager ensures that restaurants are clean and well maintained, that all company procedures are followed and all standards for food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and customer service are met. The Shift Manager must also control costs at budgeted levels in relation to cash handling, food products, labor, supplies, etc.

Responsibilities

Our Shift Managers are the key to operating our restaurants on a day-to-day basis. You will help support the General Manager and Assistant Manager, ensuring that every shift operates smoothly. You will also help team members through performance and training initiatives. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service will keep our customers coming back for more.

  • You know the business and have at least six months of experience as a manager within a restaurant or retail.

  • You are familiar with and have impressive examples of providing exceptional customer service and will uphold Company Core Values.

  • You're humble and ready to learn about what makes us different.

  • You're not afraid to jump in and help your team and lead them to the next level.

  • Execute the systems daily to ensure and maintain the unit is in accordance with all OSM procedures to provide an excellent experience for the guest as well as a safe work environment for the crew and guest.

  • Assist the team in running a shift

  • Ensure that daily sales/production goals are met. Increase Sales and profits

  • Help ensure team members receive the appropriate training

  • Handle customer and employee complaints

  • Manage daily schedules and employee shifts.

  • Assign duties to employees and oversee their progress

  • Count cash at the end of the shift and manage bank deposits

  • Train and integrate new employees

  • Ensure industry rules and regulations are followed

  • Transfer products and other objects to and from the worksite on occasion

  • Maintain high standards of service throughout the day by demonstrating management by example

  • Communicate openly and honestly with subordinates, superiors, and all others about plans, progress, and problems

  • Provide leadership by engendering excitement, enthusiasm, a positive mental attitude, and commitment toward company goals and objectives

Qualifications

  • 6 months exp. in the QSR industry

  • Stand for up to 8 hours

  • Able to lift 50 pounds

  • Use motion that entails pushing, pulling, stretching, and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists

  • Consistently pushes to open and close door to store and storage shed and office as well as cooler and freezers

  • Consistently reaches for product preparation and serving customers and training

  • Consistently sees during all activities

  • Rarely sits during the preparation of reports and bank deposits

  • Frequently stands while serving customers and training

  • Frequently stoops to pick up supplies and trash

  • Consistently talks to employees, customers, suppliers, and company representatives
