Palmer College of Chiropractic Marketing Coordinator in Davenport, Iowa

FUNCTION

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Marketing & Communication Department for the coordination of projects in primary day-to-day marketing, communication, advertising and recruitment efforts.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Responsible to the Senior Director of Marketing & Communication and has a support responsibility to all other departments and college personnel as necessary.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the coordination and completion of day-to-day processing of production needs such as: obtaining quotes, preparing and processing purchase requisitions, order forms, and invoices, obtaining and processing mailing lists and maintaining departmental budgets and files. Also provide support for advertising efforts, enrollment campaign efforts and other projects as assigned

  • Track assigned projects and activities, maintain applicable files and records.

  • Maintain budget spreadsheets for the Marketing & Communication Department to provide tracking of all expected and actual expenses. Ability to analyze reports as needed.

  • Maintain electronic and hard copy project files, general and confidential administrative records; prepare and/or assist in the preparation of reports and related duties.

  • Work closely with college-wide departments and outside vendors to coordinate and implement multiple project requests.

  • Assist, as assigned, with special projects, surveys and special reports.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong verbal and written communications

  • Maintain current knowledge of marketing, promotions, communication and public relations methods and techniques.

  • Self-motivated with demonstrated superior organizational skills

  • Ability to:

  • Perform assigned duties with time pressures and frequent interruptions

  • Adapt to change in a fast-paced environment

  • U nderstand marketing principles

  • Utilize general office equipment and other necessary equipment

  • Utilize general office equipment, desk top computer and software packages, particularly Word, Excel, , SharePoint and Trello

  • Work collaboratively and independently

  • Analyze and resolve problems

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field; two years related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in Project Management

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Perform sedentary to light work in a ventilated, lighted, and temperature-controlled office setting.

  • Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift light objects (up to 10 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the workday.
