Aerotek CNC Machinist in Davenport, Iowa

Summary:

Currently looking to add a CNC machinist to work out of a facility in Davenport, IA. This company specializes in making packaging machinery for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. Candidates looking to work in a climate-controlled setting and would like more variety are urged to apply!

Description:

  • Will require setting up one or several machine tools and performing complex machining operations in fabricating a wide variety of parts to close tolerance.

  • Set up and operate all common machine tools, carrying through to completion any machine shop assignment in the construction and repair of all kinds of metal parts and machines

  • Using detailed drawings, verbal orders, or broken or worn parts as a pattern to fabricate new parts.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years machinist experience or equivalent.

  • Must be able to do own setups and manufacture parts complete from start to finish using blueprints.

  • Ability to set up and run lathes, mills, manual lathes and mills, drill press, radial drill, saw and other tool room machines.

  • Must have experience with and knowledge of tooling and appropriate speeds/feeds when working with various types of materials.

  • Must have basic programming knowledge.

  • Must be able to do own layout work and inspect parts - both in process and final inspection.

  • Must be able to use all types of precision measuring instruments.
