Darien Center. Six Flags Darien Lake. Emergency Medical Technician. Starting at $18/hour.

Summary: Provides patient care and transportation of the sick and injured as directed by state law, regional protocol, and the Six Flags First Aid Policies and Procedures manual. This position is accountable for delivering a superior Guest experience while enforcing all park policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Performing audits and inspections as directed by the Safety Department management * Supporting and up-holding the mission, goals, and objectives of the Safety Department * Providing quality basic life support care to include Basic Life Support (BLS) skills and/or Advanced Life Support (ALS) skills on patients in the prehospital setting as indicated by the State Office of Emergency Medical Services regional and local treatment protocols, as observed or indicated on the BLS Patient Care Report * Interacting with other EMS, Fire, and Police services as required to promote patient care and transportation * Complying with departmental requirements regarding documentation, data input, and information handling * Responding and assisting as directed in the Six Flags Emergency Response Guide * Performing minor vehicle maintenance (fueling, fluid checks, air, washing, etc.) as required * Enforcing all Six Flags policies * Assisting in other areas of the Safety Department * Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

Skills and Qualifications: * Current EMT Certification * Other certifications or training requirements as applicable by law, regulation or guideline of Six Flags Safety Department to include but not limited to: Driver Training and Blood borne pathogen education (Annual) * Current licensed driver without serious moving violations.

Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole. While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties when circumstances (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs, or technological developments) dictate.

This position does not start until late April/ May 2024
