Salary: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Plant Controller to join our team. The Plant Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our plant operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and implementing effective financial controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and plant operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:Prepare accurate and timely financial statements including Balance Sheet Analysis, operational variance reporting, and inventory reporting. Execute close of monthly plant financial activities within three business days.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:Collaborate with plant management to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Analyze variances and provide insights to drive cost optimization.
  • Cost Management:Prepare and implement the Standard Cost Budget, with monthly variance review. Immediate supervisory responsibility for the evaluation of product costing for new products and the reformulation of existing products. Direct responsibility for co-ordination the development, identification, and implementation of cost saving measures for the plant.
  • Internal Controls:Implement and monitor cost control measures to ensure efficient plant operations. Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement. Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard plant assets. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Analysis:Conduct thorough financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends affecting plant performance.
  • Inventory Management:Oversee inventory accounting and management processes. Monitor inventory levels, perform regular audits, and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:Collaborate with various departments, including production, procurement, and logistics, to gather financial data and insights. Work closely with plant management to align financial goals with operational objectives.
  • Audit Coordination:Facilitate internal and external audits. Prepare audit schedules, respond to audit inquiries, and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Team Leadership:Lead and mentor the finance team within the plant. Provide guidance, training, and support to foster a high-performance culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Plant Controller or in a similar financial leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of plant operations, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and analysis tools.
  • Microsoft Dynamics / D365 experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
