Qualifications

- Valid Iowa Teaching License required
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification in Physical Education.
- Experience working with elementary-age students (preferred but not required).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to promoting physical fitness, health, and well-being in students.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
- Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate and comprehensive physical education curriculum for elementary students that aligns with state standards and district objectives.
- Create lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and abilities, ensuring inclusivity in physical education activities.
Instruction and Assessment:
- Deliver engaging and interactive physical education classes that focus on fundamental movement skills, coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Assess student progress through a variety of evaluation methods, including skill assessments, fitness testing, and participation.
