Job Summary

Join our Danbury, CT team as a Training Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and providing instructor-led trainings covering a broad range of initial technical certifications and re-certifications that support the Quality and Operations departments. You will also evaluate current data and trends to recommend, update, and deliver training associated to the facilities defects and training needs.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the efforts to develop maintain and deploy quality and operations training plans and activities that support customer requirements

  • Oversee curriculum development, review of course content and instructional materials, testing and system access requirements

  • Conduct training sessions and develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities

  • Update course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance

  • Identify business specific learning objectives and adapt curriculum content and delivery methods

  • Perform as a qualified instructor in a specialized content area; IPC610, IPC620, IPC J-STD

  • Deploy development tools and monitor implementation

  • Identify potential issues that impact performance and lead the performance analysis and development training solutions

  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with customers, people, and partners

  • Run and provide training reports and metrics

  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in related discipline or equivalent experience; bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Proficient technical expertise with demonstrated application

  • Experience with training on IPC610, 620 and J-STD

  • ASQ certification or Black Belt preferred

  • Proficient with ISO Standards, Six Sigma tools, statistics

  • Ability to understand military specifications and to read blueprints

  • Excellent\ interpersonal, negotiation, communication and writing skills

  • Ability to define problems and drive to root cause and effective corrective action

  • Candidates must be a US citizen and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
