Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Gastroenterologist at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut, located about one hour outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County and next to Westchester County in New York. This is an excellent opportunity to join our rapidly growing Digestive Health Institute in a long established and busy practice with 17 physicians and 11 advanced practitioners. Responsibilities include both outpatient practice and inpatient coverage. There is also opportunity for a faculty appointment. New and recent graduates as well as candidates with Advanced Endoscopy fellowship training are welcome to apply.Generous $50,000 sign on bonus/retention package plus relocation allowance are offered.

The ideal candidate will be a board certified/eligible gastroenterologist looking to join a highly collegial team. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses.

Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 1000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Danbury, Connecticut, in Fairfield County, is located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, about 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT.
