Excellent Cardiology Opportunity in Danbury, Connecticut (Fairfield County, 60 miles from NYC)

Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health, is seeking a full-time non-invasive Cardiologist to join our established and growing employed practice in Danbury, Connecticut. We are located in suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut, about 60 miles northeast of New York City and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York. The practice includes thirteen cardiologists and six APRNs and excellent support staff in addition to teaching rotations with our Cardiology Fellows. Danbury Hospital’s Emergency Department is an accredited Level II Trauma Center, a Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center, offering 24-hour interventional cardiology. Cardiac services at the hospital include Nuclear Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Arrhythmia Center. Our Cardiac Surgery Program includes TAVR.

The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Cardiology and looking to join a dedicated and collegial team. New and recent applicants are welcome to apply. Advanced imaging training is a plus. The position includes inpatient work at Danbury Hospital and outpatient office services in our main office in the Medical Arts Building next to the hospital campus. There will also be opportunity to expand coverage to other offices in surrounding towns. The position includes teaching rotations with our Cardiology Fellows at Danbury Hospital.

We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses as well as relocation.

Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Practice includes 1000+ employed physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Danbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, is about 60 miles northeast of New York City. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area, the city of Danbury enjoys both proximity to New York City culture and access to a wide array of four-season recreational activities. Surrounded by a number of quaint towns, the area offers a variety of excellent housing and highly rated public and private school options. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are easily accessible via car or train.
