Actalent Electrical Engineering Technician in Danbury, Connecticut

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician with expertise in wiring, soldering, and electrical cabinet assembly.

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our engineering team by ensuring the accurate assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and wire electrical cabinets according to specifications and schematics.

  • Perform soldering tasks on various electronic components and circuit boards.

  • Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of assembled units to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Collaborate with engineers to provide insights on design improvements and assembly processes.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.

  • Document assembly processes and update manufacturing records as required.

  • Assist in inventory management and procurement of necessary components.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering technician role or similar position.

  • Proven experience in wiring, soldering, and electrical cabinet assembly.

  • Familiarity with electrical schematics and blueprints.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient with hand tools and testing equipment.
