A construction company is seeking an exceptional individual with proven accounting skills to join their team as an Accounts Payable Specialist. In this role, you will provide support and guidance to our customers and partners while performing essential duties related to accounts payable. Successful candidates will undergo an administrative background screening as part of the onboarding process.

salary: $23 - $25 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the full cycle of Accounts Payable.

  • Perform high-volume invoice data entry, with a minimum of 300+ invoices per week.

  • Manage the Accounts Payable email inbox.

  • Reconcile identified AP/Vendor accounts.

  • Conduct GL Account Coding & invoice approval distribution.

  • Track monthly invoices and maintain current vendor accounts.

  • Review data in the general ledger, sub-ledgers, and other financial systems for accuracy and reasonableness of recorded financial transactions.

  • Process payments to vendors, contractors, and service providers by verifying transaction information, computing charges and refunds, preparing and mailing checks, identifying overdue accounts, and handling insufficient payments.

  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing vendor account information and trends.

  • Summarize key financial and performance data and conduct analyses as needed.

  • Perform month-end closing duties, analyzing open payables and researching items over 30 days.

  • Handle vendor maintenance, including W-9 and year-end 1099 preparation, ACH vendor set up.

  • Process accounts payable vouchers and prepare disbursements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned and necessary.

  • Prepare general ledger account analysis and reconciliation for both General Ledger and Subledger Accounts.
