https://www.overheaddoor.com/ THE POSITION Responsible for the support of the sales representatives by providing technical knowledge. Reads incoming orders to identify the components needed for production. Provides support in both pre- and post-sale by adapting product designs to meet customer requirements. Transforms released product designs into customized customer applications. Reviews engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Under general supervision of management, develop working plans. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Interpret and edit routine to complex distributor orders and identifies any errors
  • Ability to make judgment calls when required to resolve problems or to make recommendations.
  • Compiles needed documentation for Production and Shipping Departments noting any special handling, components or construction.
  • Makes item master additions and changes.
  • Ability to read and understand cutting bills and load sheets.
  • Assist all departments as necessary to drive out costs and improve quality and product offerings.
  • Must be able to work with customers to resolve issues regarding, availability, order entry problems, and minor engineering issues.
  • Checks dimensions, verifies finished work, and compiles documentation required for fabrication and assembly of equipment
  • Develop layouts from predetermined basic drawings
  • Ability to determine reference plans, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning.
  • Reviews specifications for parts, assemblies and installations.
  • Contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • Functional ability to utilize and operate standard computer software
  • 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with AutoCad, SolidWorks, and other applicable design software.

Educations

  • Bachelors Degree, Vocational Technical Training, or Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience
