Position Overview

Position Objective:

To provide strategic account support and create an enhanced customer experience for existing and new clients for the Hospitality segment. This position will be responsible for profitable growth through prospecting for new business, development of existing accounts, partnering with RVPs to develop local market strategies, and coaching of the hospitality account managers. This position will execute strategically on action plans required to increase our sales and margins in the Hospitality segment. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining high level relationships with key Hospitality stakeholders.

Please note it is preferred that the Vice President of Strategic Accounts for Hospitality live in one of the following markets: Dallas, TX + Chicago, IL + Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing a strategic and accountable action plan supporting key hospitality initiatives and objectives to grow the Hospitality business.

  • Communicate, coordinate and follow through on all activities related to the Hospitality segment. This communication includes the Hospitality VPSA’s, RVP’s, DVP’s, Hospitality Marketing Team, CDS Teams and Account Mangers.

  • Work with Hospitality Account Managers, RVP’s, DVP’s and VPSA’s to leverage team selling to maximize success rate and sales growth.

  • Develop lateral influence within the sales team, marketing services, Hospitality VPSA’s, CDS teams and other key Shaw departments in order to efficiently grow the hospitality segment.

  • Utilize and fully leverage technology tools ( SFDC / Tableau ) and resources to identify growth opportunities with Accounts and Account Managers.

  • Support, manage, facilitate and understand the complexity of Hospitality end use accounts and display good business acumen in evaluating and developing an action plan around these accounts.

  • Develop relationships with all key hospitality players in the territory including owners, purchasing agents, A&D firms and b rands.

  • Participate in Hotel Brand RFPs that involve targeted accounts.

  • Coach and support hospitality account managers with strategic initiatives

  • Help identify , track and communicate hospitality sales activity ​

Qualifications:

  • Five+ years of commercial industry experience working with End Use accounts

  • Preferred experience working with Purchasing Agents + Hotel Owners / Developers

  • Hospitality selling experience with history of sales performance

  • Ability to travel up to 50% based upon business needs

  • Preferred location: Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, or Los Angeles, CA.
