Responsibilities
Company in Northwest Georgia is looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist / Cost Accountant. Company is stable and continues to grow, so they're looking for another team member to help the company track and maintain costs so they can be even more successful.
Experience required:
At least 3 years Cost Accounting exp.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Responsibilities include:
Perform general cost accounting duties
Constantly evaluate and review costs associated with labor, materials, shipping/freight, etc. and advise ownership of concerns and successes (estimates vs. actuals)
Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies associated with payables, deposits, bank accounts, etc.
Work with manufacturing and warehouse to review options for cutting costs, increasing ROI, changing processes and/or materials, and being more efficient.
Collaborate with CFO, Owner and Auditors to provide necessary accounting documentation for costs and rates
Create and analyze reports weekly / monthly to track company successes and identify areas to address

Cost Accounting (3 years of experience is required)
General Accounting and Finance Skills (3 years of experience is required)
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Bookkeeping
Bank Reconciliations
Financial Analysis (3 years of experience is required)
Year End Close (3 years of experience is required)
