Join Our Team as an Operations Packing Supervisor!

We have a permanent vacancy within the Vitamin C Department working on dayshift. We are seeking a highly skilled packing room expert with experience in automated packing lines to join our team.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Maintain installations in proper operating condition to minimise loss of productivity and maximise availability and efficiency.

  • ·Support and lead, where applicable, continuous improvement activities.

  • Provide trouble shooting assistance to operations team and liase with their maintenance counterpart (Packing Specialist Technical Support)

  • Ensuring adequate cost control and effectiveness of packing room activities.

  • Preparing process descriptions, checklists, and SOPs.

  • Supporting development of new URFS and interrogating exiting software for process investigations and optimisation.

  • Fulfilling relevant Permit Cliq signature authority role and conducting LEO assessments to assess critical process isolations.

  • Preparing training and assessment documentation and conducting training with operations team.

  • Assisting Shift Manager in assessing the competency of field techs, field operators and Control room operators.

  • Preparing safety specific documentation (e.g. JSA, COSHH etc.) and supporting MOC and incident investigation process.

  • Maintaining the document database (SOP’s, PID’s, checklists etc.)

  • Participate in the gatekeeping process to ensure value added work is carried out. Assist with start-up and shutdown preparations.

You bring

  • Successful candidates will have a minimum HNC in a relevant engineering discipline, be willing to work towards further education, experience in packaging equipment and at least 5 years industrial experience.

  • Other essential behaviours are flexible, team player, excellent communication skills, problem solving and organisational skills with a pro-active attitude.

  • Experience in operating and maintaining automated packing lines, including fault finding and troubleshooting to ensure that products are packed correctly and efficiently.

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure that all products are packed correctly and meet our high standards of quality.

  • Stipulate the powder handling and packing powders experience would be a distinct advantage.

  • Good communication skills to coordinate with other team members ensure that production schedules are met and that all products are packed and shipped on time.
