Reference #: 85347-360302 GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: To determine the correct materials and procedures for product Fabrication and Assembly to meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Generates Bills of Material (BOMs) for procuring required material for the job. Generates work orders for each drawing for fabrication or assembly of parts in a timely and cost-effective manner. Identifies and generates requests for required tooling. Supports the Contracts Department with customer-directed changes. Implements drawing changes as needed by re-ordering materials and changing shop work orders and methods. Reviews drawings at the Preliminary Release phase. Work with Engineering on specification callouts and changes. Interprets drawings and assists in resolving customer and manufacturing questions. Support the Sales Department with quoting efforts. Support field service trips for product servicing and warranty efforts. Continually looks for opportunities to improve manufacturing time and cost. Provides input to update Work Instructions and procedures. Assist with training other Manufacturing Production Engineers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards. Ability to interpret prints. Strong technical writing skills. Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors. Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary. Ability to adhere to workplace rules.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: AA/AS or BA/BS degree in a technical field, manufacturing, or industrial discipline. 2 to 4 years of related experience in manufacturing. Knowledge of shop equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Office environment. Ability to stand and sit for long periods. Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones). Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. From: Kratos Defense
