Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated leader to join our team as the Vice President of Expedite. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the success of Millhouse, our expedite division, managing a team of +350 employees in the US and internationally. Your leadership will play a crucial role in ensuring commercial success, operational excellence, compliance, employee development, and collaborative problem-solving. The Vice President of Expedite will be responsible to lead and inspire a team of +350 employees across multiple locations. This role will lead the commercial sales and account management of the division by collaborating with Sr. VP Brokerage and other enterprise resources on commercial strategy to grow business through direct client relationships with a specific focus on expedite and continue to develop sales and account management talent. Key measures of success include meeting or exceeding targets for sales revenue, sales profit, budget objectives and improving client satisfaction with Forward Air. This role is also responsible for the leadership oversight of the execution of services by our operations teams. Through active coaching, motivation, training, collaboration and performance management, our team goal is to achieve a high degree of accountability, performance, and success. This role will involve budget management and P&L activity by establishing budgets and managing the daily performance to meet or exceed budgeted targets. Working in collaboration with SVP of Brokerage and other FP&A resources this role will help with forecasting and the communication of trends that impact the business and make strategic decisions to optimize resources and achieve financial objectives. Additional responsibilities will include compliance and quality management to ensure all operations comply with state, federal, and international regulations, and governing bodies. Analyze data to identify trends and draw conclusions to develop collaborative solutions for all stakeholders. This role will always lead with transparency and integrity.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale freight and logistics operations.

• In-depth knowledge of expedited processes, regulations, and industry best practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and be a self-motivated problem solver.

• Demonstrated success in budget management and achieving financial targets.

• Ability and willingness to seek out work and the drive to accomplish goals.

• Ability to develop sales plans that are future-oriented, support business strategy and reflect understanding of emerging, as well as existing, opportunities and markets.

• Demonstrated ability to manage internal relationships and external partnerships.

• Experience translating data into meaningful insights to close business and build credibility.

• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and programs

• 10 years of experience in the sales of transportation and distribution systems, and a general understanding of Expedite, LTL, Truckload, Intermodal, highway operations, contract logistics and supply chain processes

• Experience in logistics sales and sales management, preferably sustaining and growing a portfolio of transportation products of at least $25 million per year.

• Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate fellow team members and work in a collaborative fashion with the highest integrity.

• Ability to always be a highly professional representative of the company, including protecting company confidentiality around current and future business strategies.

• Expert-level analytical, organizational and communication skills

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
