Position Summary...

What you'll do...

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP HCM Payroll Technical expert with minimum of 7-8 years of experience in ABAP HR, with a focus on ABAP HR payroll domain for 4-5 years to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 end-to-end SAP Payroll implementations including at least one large scale end-to-end SAP Payroll implementation. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the largest-ever payroll implementation for 1.8 million associates. Your responsibilities will include translating requirements into technical solutions, gathering necessary information, such as design documents and product requirements, and code development. You will also conduct technical unit testing, communicate status and issues to team members and stakeholders, collaborate with project and cross-functional teams, troubleshoot open issues and bug-fixes, ensure on-time delivery and hand-offs.

Your role will involve SAP RICEF objects development, reviews, troubleshooting code issues by gathering information, issue resolution, conducting root cause analysis, unit testing and completing necessary documentation.

Additionally, you will provide support to the payroll business, SAP payroll functional, & test automation engineers by addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues. This includes assessing technical feasibility, identifying short and long-term solutions, performance optimization, facilitating resolutions, and leading cross-functional partnerships.

In summary, you will demonstrate expertise in developing and executing action plans, expertise in SAP Payroll, test automaton, support the implementation of business solutions, model compliance with company policies and procedures, and ensure successful delivery and support of the SAP Payroll with a focus on best coding practices. Your role will involve extensive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, coaching on appropriate solutions, and driving efficient technical solution design & build.

What you'll do:

  • Execute SAP HCM Payroll Development tasks to enhance or add functionality to the existing/new SAP PA & Payroll landscape, with a specific emphasis on the HCM & Payroll modules.

  • Proficient in Unit and Performance testing, quality analysis, and integration testing.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Payroll business processes, Functional and technical specifications.

  • Experience in designing ABAP RICEF objects, particularly using ABAP Proxies for integrations.

  • Strong knowledge of debugging and troubleshooting object-oriented ABAP HR issues.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with onshore-offshore teams and business stakeholders.

  • Hands-on experience in Alerts Mechanism, Change Management, and Transport Management process (Environment SOLMAN).

  • Ability to handle multiple deliverables and projects simultaneously.

  • Experience working closely with Business process teams.

  • Responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, debugging, and unit testing SAP HR ABAP, Portal, and Fiori applications.

  • Direct experience in designing and working extensively with interface between SAP HCM and different systems such as Workday, SAP Finance, Time & Attendance, ServiceNow, Benefits, and Garnishments.

  • Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming, Dialog Programming, Modular Programming, Dynamic Programming, RFC (Remote Function Calls), and BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface), Badis (Business Add-Ins) & Parallel Processing.

  • Analyze support issues in collaboration with functional team members and business analysts.

  • Highly motivated, flexible, open to learning new things, and customer-focused, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Thorough understanding of corporate IT policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Ability to monitor and manage task progress.

  • Effective mentorship of less experienced team members on SAP ABAP HR programming and testing techniques.

  • Ability to work with limited supervision and a strong sense of urgency.

  • Functional knowledge of SAP Personnel Administration, Payroll (US/CA), Time Management, Garnishments, Benefits, and respective info types.

  • General understanding of the accounting process, such as GL posting from Payroll.

  • Familiarity with SAP Payroll Control Center (PCC) and ticketing tools like Service Now.

  • Experience in infotype decoupled framework.

  • Familiarity with the SAP upgrade process (SPAU/SPDD) including system preparation data migration and post-upgrade activities is crucial. Proficiency in Support Pack upgrade, handling SPDD & SPAU, OSS Note activities. Experience in handling Dual maintenance Set-up.

  • Ability to create, manage, communicate, and meet project timelines and goals.

  • SAP implementation project experience and aware of SDLC.

  • Experience of working in Onsite - Offshore model including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

  • Experience or exposure to the following is a plus.

  • Mid-year/mid-quarter payroll go-live.

  • Test automation tools like Worksoft Certify / Tricentis Tosca.

  • gCTS.

  • Epi-Use tools.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
