Job Summary:

This multifaceted position is focused on improving Labcorp’s Environmental Sustainability (ES)) performance through the development, implementation, promotion, and monitoring of ES activities, initiatives, and goals across the Company.

The position is considered a subject matter expert in Environmental Sustainability, associated data management and analysis, and third-party rating agencies, such as CDP, EcoVadis, ISS, MSCI, Sustainalytics, etc., and annual Corporate Responsibility Report.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage Labcorp’s global sustainability data and reporting systems and processes, including:

  • Assure data completeness and quality.

  • Establish, set targets for, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify progress on important sustainability metrics.

  • Create dashboards and scorecards to bring visibility to progress and enable continuous improvement.

  • Identify and act on opportunities to optimize data collection and reporting.

  • Analyze data to identify opportunities and collaborate with stakeholders to address.

  • Organize and prepare data and information for ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Steering Committee and disclosure frameworks, including Labcorp’s annual greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, Corporate Responsibility Report, CDP, EcoVadis, Sustainalytics, MSCI, ISS,GRI,SASB,TCFD etc

  • Support the development of plans to enable the achievement of defined goals and objectives, including Science Based Targets, energy, waste, water minimization, and biodiversity

  • Engage with client facing roles, and clients, to assist in addressing questions or requests, providing periodic updates on relevant issues and topics.

  • Collaborate with appropriate departments to develop and, carry Initiatives and grass root effort that is identified in the ES strategy

  • Strong written and verbal English, communication, and presentation skills are required to enable understanding, influencing and engagement at all levels within the organization.Ability to synthesize and translate complex information into clear, informative, and compelling materials (e.g., summaries, fact sheets, presentations, online dashboards, and reports) for diverse audiences.Ability to create and deliver training programs.

  • Ability to collaborate with peers and leaders to assess pending requirements and/or client or supplier requests, identify risks and impact, and develop proposals to effectively address stakeholder needs.

  • Ability to assess opportunities and make decisions relative to Environmental Sustainability data, including energy utilization, water withdrawal, fuel consumption, air emissions, waste minimization, and biodiversity, that enable Labcorp to achieve near and long-term goals, such as Science-based Targets, with the ultimate goal of reducing Labcorp’s, vendors and client’s environmental footprint.

Education Requirements :

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in EHS or Data Science related field

  • Masters degree Preferred

Minimum Experience Required :

  • 3 years Environmental Sustainability Discipline

Description of Preferred Experience :

  • 3 years of climate-related Data management experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in the development and execution of environmental sustainability initiatives and working knowledge of common ESG frameworks and rating agencies.
