Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant with strong AP experience to join our dynamic team. As a Staff Accountant, you will handle full-cycle accounts payable, reconcile financial statements, and support month-end close processes. Responsibilities: General Ledger and Journal Entries: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Prepare and post journal entries to record financial transactions accurately. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices, coding expenses, and preparing payments. Assist with accounts receivable, including billing, collections, and reconciliations. Reviews all general invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. Reconciles client payments including credit card payments and credits. Work effectively with vendors including, but not limited to dispute resolution. Bank Reconciliations: Perform weekly monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of cash balances. Investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. Generate various financial reports as required by management. Document process steps for month end close. Analyze financials for the various entities and prepare management reports. Expense Management: Monitor and control company expenses to ensure adherence to budget. Assist in expense analysis and cost tracking. Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis reports as needed. Financial Software and Systems: Utilize financial software and tools effectively. Assist in system enhancements and process improvements. Other Responsibilities: Assists corporate accounting management and operations, as necessary. Filing of all department documents Participates on committees, and special projects as requested. Coordinates needs with staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements A minimum of 4 years accounting experience. Bachelor’s degree in business or similar. Acceptable skillset in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Access. Cash reconciliation and GAAP knowledge. Problem solving abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to multi-task. Customer service orientation. Basic knowledge of accounting department functions. Ability to maintain multifaceted filing systems. A high level of confidentiality is required in this position. Strong and proven interpersonal communication skills. Strategic written and verbal communication skills.
