Aston Carter Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas
Description:
Full cycle accounting role
Daily reconciliations
Role on the Retail Accounting Team:
Partner with suppliers, terminal locations or customers to solve inventory, sales, billing or electronic payment issues.
Perform trend analysis on inventory and sales volumes, and P&L and balance sheet accounts
Record daily and monthly journal entries to ensure accuracy of financial information
Prepare account reconciliations and explain reconciling items
Proactively identify process improvement or automation opportunities
Creatively use Excel techniques to enhance analysis
Willingness to learn to build financial data models using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Alteryx
Document processes using MS Visio
Assist with quarterly and annual audit process by preparing support and walk-through of process
Develop strong business relationships with internal and external partners
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Experience with PDI (ERP system) is preferred but not required
Strong Excel skills
