Position Summary...
What you'll do...
As a Senior Software Engineer part of Sam's Club , you will be responsible for performing the tasks of assigned Engineering projects by providing pertinent documents, direction, and examples; identifying short- and long- term solutions and timeline; reviewing and approving proposed solutions; implementing new architectural patterns; and performing design and code reviews of changes.

What you'll do:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer/Performance Engineer who love code and performance testing.
Design and develop new applications and tools using Java, Spring Boot framework, React.js/Node.js technologies
Own end-to-end product performance through design, launch, and operation - understand architecture design, requirements, and help support on-going releases with aim of achieving high performance quality.
Debug server-side performance issues, identify bottlenecks throughout the entire stack and optimize product/service performance to improve user experience
Effectively collaborate and communicate for better performance governance across all teams to improve code base performance and present findings to them
Proactively investigate site performance issues in production and work cross functionally to validate resolutions.
Provide visibility to what is going on for allotted multi-tier application: Run performance and capacity experiments to determine scaling and utilization parameters for various front-end and back end service tiers.
What you'll bring:
6+ years' experience in a software engineering, performance engineering role for customer facing solutions for large scale systems preferably in e-commerce/retail.
Experience building new applications and tools using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot framework, React and Node.js, Python, bash or Go technologies
Experience in Performance analysis, Webservices and REST, ELK Stack, APM Tools, and Automation Tools.
Expertise in Apache JMeter, Gatling, Locust, Splunk, Grafana.
Debugging, Monitoring, Optimization of cloud platform infrastructure and services
Experience with performance benchmarking large scale applications hosted on Kubernetes platforms
Experience with Databases (Relational and NoSQL) and caching solutions.
Knowledge of technologies used in building scalable, distributed systems in virtualized cloud-like environments and respective performance trade-off's.
Solid DevOps skills in troubleshooting live applications, assessing performance bottlenecks of applications running on Linux.
Willing to take new initiatives and work with minimal supervision.
Be a thinker, help in finding performance bottlenecks, debug to get RCA and provide working solutions

Sunnyvale, California US-08479:The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
DALLAS, Texas US-09648:The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
