We are currently working on a search for multiple Senior Real Estate Accountants with a well known real estate investment company here in Dallas.

The ideal candidate is a highly intelligent, flexible, self-motivated individual with strong verbal and written communication skills. He or she has a demonstrated track record of educational, professional, and personal achievement, including a Bachelors and Masters degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance from a top-tier university. Those who have demonstrated their technical knowledge by passing the CPA exam are strongly preferred. He or she also has creative critical thinking skills and attention to detail. Real estate industry accounting experience is not a prerequisite, but a strong interest in financial markets is a must. Positions are currently open at both junior and senior levels.

The team is responsible for the coordination and review of financial reporting for a multi-strategy real estate group with a complex global organization. The company manages all aspects of the investment process for real estate institutional investors. The group is proactive, both in improving its own processes and in helping the fund make efficient investments. The position will work with asset managers, tax, legal, and audit advisors to help structure deals.

Requirements

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Current and relevant ERP system experience

  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

  • Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

  • Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Analysis experience

  • 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Strong time management skills preferred

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
