Raytheon Space & Airborne Systems - Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Electronic Warfare (EW) Electronic Protect (EP) Department is seeking a talented, motivated, and collaborative Senior Multidisciplinary RF Engineer with strong testing, coding, and analytical skills to engage in the development of a plethora of exciting disruptive technologies to ensure warfighter advantage. The selected candidates will join a dynamic, exceptional, and rapidly growing section to work on Multi-Function EW Systems and engage in a variety of cutting edge and innovative technology development across the Advanced Concepts & Technology (ACT) business area, specifically focusing on Advanced RF. This is an ideal position for an early-career candidate who is insatiable and curious about all aspects of engineering scope. As a Sr. Multidisciplinary RF Engineer, you will have an opportunity to contribute to research and development of advanced sensor systems; driving design from detailed RF conceptual subsystem-level into a novel end-to-end fully engineered solution; and providing Systems Engineering design expertise for complex systems employing RF technology across the various stages of the product development life cycle. The candidate will be involved in multidisciplinary coordination efforts to perform architecture trade studies, design decisions, model system behaviors, execute experimental tasks, and assist in the development of white papers, proposals, and presentations. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems Key Responsibilities: Take a customer’s desires/requirements and develop top level system architecture Conduct trade studies to compare and evaluate potential design solutions for optimized system performance. Model and simulate RF systems to predict performance Work seamlessly across a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement automation solutions across multiple assembly and test processes. Analyze data and present critical performance metrics Collaborate with Product Teams in verification and validation efforts in the laboratory. Perform field testing in designated test areas Troubleshooting, redesigning, implementing, testing and documenting complex simulator hardware, firmware and software Communicate with customers (internal and external) to understand requirements and communicate capabilities and recommendations Required Skills: Minimum 4 years of Experience as RF Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related discipline; including experience with Software Development in Java, C/C++, Python, MATLAB or other high level language Solid foundation in modeling, statistics, analytics and mathematics to assist with developing system requirements, integration, and analysis Familiarity with the laboratory environment, special test equipment (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.) and experience with high performance systems including the design process and components Ability to understand and translate functional requirements/specifications and complex technical details into working test plan and/or test cases and build test methodologies Experience communicating effectively at both detailed engineering and executive levels Strong ability to adhere to aggressive deadlines and work on concurrent fast-paced projects with minimal supervision US Citizenship Must be a U.S. Citizen with Active (or active within past 24 months) DoD Secret Clearance Desired Skills: A “big thinker” who does not operate in a silo, but can think about where a program or product line is heading or needs to go, while considering the technical aspects of how to get there Electronic Warfare knowledge and experience with understanding of threat systems, mission analysis, and Concept of Operations Familiarity and interest in model based approaches to system design, including high level programming language experience Strong creativity and ability to design and implement effective, complex technical solutions A team orientation with superior interpersonal awareness Strong organization and documentation abilities Adaptable to changing business needs, new ideas, challenges from the team, and redirection from customer Experience in writing proposals and developing business cases Required Education (including major): Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
