Raytheon Missiles & Defense - Precision Manufacturing is a leader in high precision mechanical product manufacturing. The business consists of multiple sites in the Dallas area with around 560 employees. Raytheon Technologies Precision Manufacturing is experiencing growth with primary focus in the defense and aerospace markets.
The Manual Machinist will independently process production orders, fabricate tooling details, some prototype work and rework/repair of parts and components.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Print reading and comprehension skills
Validate and check own work
Assigned work can cover many functions, including but not limited to;
Deburr, sanding and hand tool operations
Inspection, problem solving and team interaction
Assigned equipment will involve mainly manual machining centers
Mill (Hurco and Bridgeport)
6 Spindle (Allen)
Lap (Lap Master), Honer (Sunnen)
Bandsaw (DoAll), and hand tool operations such as drilling, tapping, chamfering, deburring, scuffing, engraving. Use of these machines can be required for Tooling / Fixturing needed details and normal production part runs as required.
Standing and walking for extended periods of time
Lifting up to 28 lbs.
Qualifications You Must Have:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
6 years of Manual Machining (Mill, Lathe, Band saw, Drill Press)
Experience with inspection of machined parts, interpreting prints and work orders in addition to utilizing GD&T tolerances
This role requires access to US only data systems, US Citizenship is required
Qualifications We Value:
6+ years of CNC Machining
Wire and or RAM EDM operation and programming experience
Intermediate computer skills; Email, Time Entry, Order Processing, Explorer
Able to set up and operate machining centers unsupervised on highly complex parts
Ability to hold tight tolerances and surfaces finishes
