This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division.
Responsible for creating an environment where Agile software development team(s) can deliver platform application solutions on time, with high quality, and that meet customer expectations utilizing Agile methodologies. This leader will foster an environment conducive to innovation, process maturity, continuous learning, and career development.
What you'll do
Collaborates with Business and IT leadership to determine and communicate organization vision, direction, and work priorities, and drives progress towards technology target roadmaps
Ensures that sound agile project management, business analysis, and quality assurance processes are in place and practiced
Creates environment for delivery teams to be self-governing organizations who are accountable for their own performance and delivery commitments
Exhibits a desire for continuous learning and sharing of new knowledge within the organization
Removes roadblocks, cultivates relationships, and effectively communicates across Enterprise at various levels of leadership
Manages and tracks project/program schedules and budgets with controller(s), as appropriate
Manages and leads adoption and migration of new and emerging technologies
Leads, develops, and mentors a high performing team of individuals with a diverse range of skills and experiences
Maintains an effective approach on problem solving, multi-tasking, coordinating and scheduling
Leads, influences, and upholds technology standards and goals to ensure visibility and predictability
Manages production issues and off-hours support, communication, and coordination, as needed
Works extended hours occasionally, based on the needs of the project and the operation
Travels, as required
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
5 years of experience participating in delivery of solutions using ITIL / Agile / XP, or similar methodologies
3 years of experience leading projects or teams, either formally or informally
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Airline industry experience, including business process and supporting technology
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
5 years of hands-on experience with full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments
3 years of experience with object-oriented design techniques and principles
3 years of experience in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Experience in managing, supporting, and delivering 'mission-critical' projects/migrations
Experience working with Agile project management methodologies and tools
Proven ability to handle multiple projects/work streams and demands efficiently
Experience in leading a team of individuals with various levels of skills and experience in potentially high stress and challenging situations
Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
Working knowledge and experience in a technical environment
Experience managing financial budgets a plus
